School Partnerships
Programming your district can fund. Outcomes you can measure.
YAH ROOTZ partners with schools and districts across metro Atlanta to deliver garden-based, food-sovereignty programming that connects to the priorities your funding is already tied to. Every partnership maps to one of four fundable focus areas, and every contract ships with pre/post measurement, so attendance rates, referral counts, parent turnout, and staff participation are tracked from day one.
Programming spans early childhood through K-12, Job Corps, and adult programs, and scales from a single one-day assembly to multi-week mentorship cohorts. Every offering is customizable to your budget and goals.
Whatever the format, every YAH ROOTZ program falls into one of four categories, each tied to a priority your funding already supports. Explore the four below, then download the full catalog to see how each one fits your school.
Four Priorities. One Partner.
Chronic Absenteeism
Give students a reason to show up.
Attendance recovery dollars already exist. YAH ROOTZ becomes the experience that makes campus somewhere students want to be. Through incentive takeovers, Monday and Friday activation series, and re-engagement sessions, we pair hands-on garden experiences with the moments that move your attendance numbers.
Example partnerships: Attendance Partnership · Monday/Friday Activation Series · Attendance Incentive Takeover · Re-Engagement "Best Day" Sessions
Student SEL & Well-Being
Our existing core, aligned to SEL4GA.
Hands-on garden learning that builds environmental awareness, confidence, and foundational skills through songs, stories, STEAM activities, sensory exploration, and nature-based play. Programming ranges from one-day assemblies to eight-week mentorship cohorts and includes outdoor classroom development, garden clubs, edible campus planning, and agriculture career pathway assemblies, all grounded in regenerative agriculture principles. Curriculum, learning modules, and STEAM lessons can be customized for your grade bands and standards.
Example partnerships: ROOTZ Academy · After-School Cohorts · Conflict Resolution "Snack and Chats" · Regeneration Activation · Transition Support · PE Takeover
Family Engagement
Bring families onto campus, and give your district the parents-on-campus numbers it tracks.
Garden work days, harvest days, and resource events turn the school into a gathering place families want to be part of. These events create low-barrier, welcoming reasons for parents and caregivers to show up, connect, and stay involved.
Example partnerships: Family Resource Events · Family Garden Nights · Cookout & Fundraisers
Staff Wellness & Retention
Prevent burnout and strengthen school culture.
Teacher-facing events and professional development that support teacher retention and make the school year more sustainable for the adults who carry it. From appreciation takeovers to movement-based PD, these offerings invest in the people who keep your building running.
Example partnerships: Staff Wellness Series · Teacher Appreciation Takeovers · PD Workshops: SEL Through Movement
